Forever 21 is on a Buy One Get One Promo from Nov. 25 to Dec. 4, 2011. Their FB page says it is only offered at their Manila Branches.

Share a Shoe! (No, this is not MILO)

Just as I was browsing my FB groups, I saw this particular blog entry from a co-runner which is known in the blog world as journeyingjames.

I clicked on the thumbnail and read his article about the plight of the aspiring young athletes who are, unfortunately, shoeless. Read it here: (shoes-sharing) Like him, I was touched by the story of the three girls who were sharing shoes to reach their dreams. Stories like this are not uncommon, however and we have known this for a fact since Milo started their campaign in giving out shoes to the thousands of schoolchildren around the country who didn't have any. 

Milo has done their part for many years but still, there are MORE who are not yet catered by their generosity. And so, many more projects like this were launched out to the public to attend to those waiting needs of our inopportune countrymen. If you missed in participating at Milo Marathon this year (or did but wanting to help more), it's your time to shine with this project.

It may not be as big and popular as Milo's but it's definitely the same with its intentions.

"Bilisan mo, pahiram ng sapatos. Eto na yung tsinelas."

La Salle for a Cause (A Promotion)

Two wonderful opportunities to help in Cavite:

The Centennial Outreach Program of DLSHSI in partnership with College of Nursing and 

School of Midwifery and Lasallian Youth Lifeliners. "Sandugo para sa Sandaang Taon" A 

blood-letting program that aims to collect at least 300 bags of blood for the benefit of De 

La Salle University Medical Center, General Emilio Aguinaldo Memorial Hospital, and 

Philippine Red Cross. This coming Friday, November 11, 2011, 8am-4pm at De La Salle 

Animo Center.

Together, we can save HUNDRED lives :)

Main Beneficiary: De La Salle UMC Charity Wards

The Saringhimig is the official Institutional Choir of the DLSHSI.

On December 9, 2011, they will showcase their talent and prowess which brought them awards

 in several inter-scholastic singing contests. The show is also for good cause...for charity...as the

 main beneficiary of the concert is the DLSUMC Charity Wards.

an open letter for grandma (please don't be angry!) ;p

**I made and posted this on my FB wall. I also tagged my cousin living with my lola so that my lola/ grandma will know before we meet this Saturday that I cut my hair. Hehe. I am hoping that with her knowing it days earlier, I'll be forgiven by then.;p

I love my hair cut short. Aside from the fact that I'm not a comby (my own coined term for someone who frequently combs...haha) person, having a short hair is refreshing--- it makes me feel younger and is definitely more hassle free (just imagine the shampoo, conditioner, time and effort one can save by having a short hair). ;)

But my lola thinks otherwise. She scolds me whenever I did or do any attempts to shorten it. She said that short hair doesn't suit girls, and I look like a guy whenever I don short strands.

Maybe it's the old school Filipina woman in her that is letting her dwell in the belief that short hair are for boys only. Yes, I know that the image of a classy, conservative, attractive Filipina has a long black, shiny hair. I love my grandma, but her hair preference is too looooong ago. I believe that I'm still conservative though I really like pixie cuts.

Yes, a pixie cut! Indeed I was suppose to have it done on my hair but out of my respect for lola, I just bit my lip and bitterly asked the stylist to trim my hair a few inches..just enough for it not to touch my shoulders.
