I don't usually wear a dress but when I do, I make sure that there's a special occasion behind it. 

Haha.

We post-celebrated our 4th Anniversary by hopping into three places, all in one day:

ATC, Nuvali and Festival Mall Alabang

(but these pictures were only from Nuvali).

As you can see, though I'm wearing a dress, I just couldn't go girly all the way! I matched it with a casual fabric tie-it belt and Pacsafe anti-theft bag.

For lunch, we chose to eat at Claw Daddy's...

Unfortunately, they ran out of crabs (our desired serving) they still have remaining crabs but the serving is good for 5 persons, and though we eat a lot, it's just too much for us. 

Poor Ian.;p

Instead, we ordered these: 

The grilled salmon is deli, but it's sauce...it's too salty, it's like a yellow-colored salt  melted, literally.

Again, the oysters with melted white cheese on top of it was yummy,
and its presentation was okay,
except for the salt which was generously poured on the bottom of the shells, which
made one oyster too salty I can't eat it when it clumsily fell on the plate.

Chicken was okay but gravy, not.
(Jobi and McDo's gravy tastes a lot better).
Anyway, the sweetness of the corn make up for it.

Grape juice for me- and I must say it indeed tasted like grapes (but lacked sweetness).
The tissue says John Bamboo..because Claw Daddy's and John Bamboo were sister restaurants (located on one roof
but two dining areas connected to each by an opening in the wall, seen on the previous photo).
and we sat on the John Bamboo corner of the restaurant. 

After eating, we went to the famous
fish pond, just in front of Claw Daddy's.

Lots of families were also there that day, enjoying themselves on the not so big but scenic and restaurant-clad Solenad 1 which surrounded the fish pond.Visitors can feed the fish by paying 100+ for it (which is quite uneconomical, in my opinion).

Also, there is a lake (not sure if it's man-made) where you can ride a speed boat to go 

to the other part of Nuvali.

Then, we also strolled Solenad 2, which is few steps away from 1.

    Solenad 2 is like a business complex, where food and shops abound. There is a Robinson's grocery store,

and some random tiangge items on the tents in-between the concrete-roofed branded stores

which sells clothes, shoes, gadgets, etc.  

We went to Filinvest after..but we got tired of taking pictures so that's it!;p

Like a Phoenix.

Yes.

Like a Phoenix, I currently being reborn or renewed again from the ashes of my almost three months of blogging hiatus. It's been a while since last draw the ink, er typed in my thoughts and I must admit that I missed expressing thru writing immensely. 

Unlike a Phoenix, though, I don't promise to resurrect in grandiosity. I'm not considering my post now as something like a fire of creativity, an entry worth of a vengeance for those missed ones. This one would just be a spark, that will (hopefully) ablaze my annihilating blog site SOON. Hehe.

I've been aching to post about more interesting stuffs I recently dealt with but just so my absence can be  forgiven, I had this idea. For justification's sake, this time only...I'll just share what I did on those weeks of ashes, in a nutshell.  :)

1.  Batch Production.

In De La Salle College of Medicine, we had this annual event called JFT (Just For Tonight). This is a special night wherein Med students can do all things, except for studying. We can do what we want---sing, dance, act..mostly showcasing of talents, just for that night. I've been part of the cast when I was in first year but after  that, I chose to be part of the production team (the team behind the curtain) instead. It's all where the action is--script, props, stage setting, act progression and I find it to be more challenging.

Our Egyptian themed story won first place (as well as our band) and though we didn't beat the other batches  on the other categories (Mr. & Ms. JFT, batch chorale) our scores were enough to snatch the Gold in the said event. Batch 2013, JFT 2011 Champions!:)

2. Had a Concert + Caroling

As a privileged member of De La Salle HSI's institutional choir, the Saringhimig, I got to take part on the Sentenaryo Concert.

We were able to raise almost a million (if not a million) for the charity wards. All our efforts were paid off by the overwhelming support and positive feedback of the audience on and after the performance. We sang a total of 10 songs, most of which have choreography. ;p  

I considered this as one of the highlights of my chorale career. I'm so happy that we were able to give 100%

 of the concert earnings to charity. I'm so proud of my SH family.

Days after the concert, we got busy on caroling. :)
We went to the Surgery Department and Dr. Ariniego's place to sing for the Internal Medicine's Christmas Party.

4. Set-up a Business. 

   

For the longest time, I've been wanting to have a business of my own. I'm already 23, and I am supposed to be working now, after all. So after months of planning, I finally decided to take a risk in investing in a small business. A shot in bantam entrepreneurship in which I can afford to juggle with med school and limited "free" time. I set-up a Sky lantern retail business.

I started selling sky lanterns on the first week of December, just in time for the upcoming Holidays. It was a successful launch, earning me enough to buy decent gifts for my loved ones last Christmas and New Year. I was quite happy with the venture so I decided to put more effort and time with it so it will grow into a more "real" and "serious" business.

5. Celebrate the Holidays.

Had our Noche Buena with Mendozas (my mother's side) at auntie's place in Paranaque. We celebrated both Christmas and New Year at our grandparent's house (father's side) in Tagaytay. So much love and fun! :)

6. Choir Competition

The annual APMC (Association of Philippine Medical Colleges) Medirhythmia (Choir Competition) and Medgroove (Dance Competition) was held at UST's Med Auditorium last Feb. 5, 2012. 

Our Choir, Saringhimig was the defending champion of the said contest but unfortunately (some say cheatfully) we lost and more surprisingly, gathered no place at the said contest this year. The results were said to be dubious, even some of the judges were stunned when the winners are announced (I know this for a fact since we had the opportunity to ask some of them after the event for clarification). Don't get me wrong..it's not that we are too confident that we'll win..but if you may, one can watch the videos of the performances on Youtube and judge accordingly.

I refuse to dwell on this matter though. I won't even mention the names of the schools who won (by influence/ connections, they say). It was a memorable and bittersweet experience for all of us...and yes, a very controversial one. Enough said. :)

7. Photoshoot + Heart's Day.

Like I said, I decided to take my petit business into a serious one so I took another step early this month to make it better. I had a FB business page done for the promotion of the business itself and its products (sky lanterns, in different colors, shapes and types). 

I especially had a photoshoot for the promotion of Heart lanterns since it aimed to cater the couples last Feb. 14. I personally modeled it together with my boyfriend. HAHA. Not because I want to be a model, but because I'm too stingy to pay for a model. LOL. My cousin volunteered as the photographer and I thank God that it went well, much better as expected. 

I cannot say that it was totally SOLD OUT but only ONE out of all the heart lanterns I ordered remained. <3

8. Paper Works.

Ah, yes. Paperworks. Something that I'll be forever busy with. Non-stop reading, memorization and learning (which is not so bad naman). Not to mention the series of exams we went through. Yeah, like other students, I did this in between all those things, events I mentioned above. I'm still busy with this one and it is only by  defiance that I had the chance to do this entry for there are still pending heaps to study. :)

So there goes my update. I really miss blogging.:(
I'll try to finish my school works so I can squeezed in a few more posts before school year ends. Hope to comeback ASAP. Happy blogging.
